Hermès Men's Summer 2025 Collection by Véronique Nichanian

The Hermès Men’s Summer 2025 Collection, masterfully curated by Véronique Nichanian, recently debuted at Paris Fashion Week, setting the stage for a season of refined elegance and understated luxury. Nichanian, known for her timeless approach to men’s fashion, once again showcased her ability to blend classic sophistication with modern sensibilities.

"Lightness, peace, softness—that’s the inspiration, what we wish for," said Véronique Nichanian as she unveiled the Hermès Men’s Summer 2025 Collection. Nichanian, renowned for her timeless approach to men’s fashion, presented a collection that took us to the serene seaside, where sophistication meets relaxation. Held at Paris Fashion Week, the show was a masterclass in elevating beachwear with the luxurious touch of Hermès.

A Beachside Inspiration

Nichanian transported the audience to a tranquil seaside setting, where models sauntered in strappy leather sandals and wide-leg pants cropped just above the ankles. Their biceps were exposed by sleeveless leather jackets with zip-front closures, flexing as they carried Hermès’ signature “beach” bags. These were no ordinary beach accessories; the iconic Haut à Courroies bags, typically crafted from the finest materials, made a stunning appearance, elevating the casual beach aesthetic to Hermès' luxurious standards.

The heart of Nichanian's vision was to elevate humble beach clothes using Hermès-level materials without losing their relaxed, easygoing spirit. Her skill with leather was evident in pieces like the supple button-down and matching neckerchief in pale lavender, showcasing her ability to transform leather into something as soft as silk.

Tailoring with a Playful Twist

Traditional suits took a backseat in this collection. Instead, Nichanian gave tailored jackets a playful spin with naive floral prints resembling doodles and manipulated lapels for a less formal vibe. A sheer jacket towards the end of the show harked back to a sexy collection from a year ago that had the fashion world abuzz. A voile shirt with unfinished side seams created an airy feel, catching the breeze as models moved through the Palais d'Iéna.

Details and Delicacy

Nichanian’s attention to detail was impeccable. Shirts were buttoned only up to the midriff, revealing just enough chest to maintain an air of languor. Tank tops beneath featured scooped necklines, and high-water pants exposed the ankles, emphasizing a relaxed yet polished look. Some models sported "tattooed" harness motifs, adding a touch of fun to the collection with swirling designs lifted from tank tops and shorts-and-camp-shirt sets.

Continuing the beach theme, some models were “tattooed” with a swirling harness motif taken from various pieces, including a tank top, a shorts-and-camp-shirt set, and a completely unbuttoned button-down paired with softly pleated pants. These playful tattoos added a whimsical touch to the collection, reflecting Nichanian’s ability to blend fun with sophistication. Roomy blouson shapes offered versatility for the Hermès man who values both style and comfort.

Roomy Blousons and Evening Elegance

For the Hermès man who takes dressing well seriously, there were plenty of roomy blouson shapes to choose from. Nichanian's designs transformed seamlessly from day to evening, showcasing versatility. Textiles awakened, patterns vibrated, and outfits played with impressions and perceptions. Each piece had the ability to transform in the space of a day, each piece offering multiple lives and opportunities for reinvention. Details such as adjusted knots, docker hats, and juxtaposed fabrics reveal Nichanian’s flair for diverting traditional codes and creating a smokescreen of sophistication.

A Night on the Beach

The collection beautifully transitioned from day to night, embodying the essence of a beachside evening. Clothing cast reflections into the transparency of water projected onto large screens, creating an allure of freedom. Designs extended onto the body, with the passing day slipping into a night on the beach. The sun set and rose, capturing an eternity in every instant, a delicate dissolve that epitomised the relaxed elegance of the Hermès man.

A Celebration of Timeless Elegance

Véronique Nichanian’s Hermès Men’s Summer 2025 Collection is a testament to her expertise in blending classic sophistication with modern sensibilities. From the carefully curated color palette to the impeccable tailoring and innovative designs, every aspect of the collection reflects Hermès' commitment to quality and timeless elegance.

Nichanian’s work remains a beacon of refined style, proving that true luxury lies in the details. The Summer 2025 collection not only celebrates men’s fashion but also sets the standard for the season ahead, reaffirming Hermès' position at the forefront of high fashion.
