Las Vegas is famous for many things. It’s glamorous casinos, live performances and enormous tourist attractions. As the sun set on Monday evening, the twinkle lights in Vegas lit up for one of music’s biggest nights - the American Music Awards. Known for its extended guest list and daring gowns, this year’s AMAs will be remembered for leopard-prints, sequins and legendary performances from the likes of Rod Stewart, Janet Jackson and Gwen Stefani.

After a two-year hiatus, the AMAs made a return this May for a celebration of culture, patriotic music and fashion. Although absent from the show, Billie Eilish scored seven pyramid-awards, with Beyonce stealing ‘favourite country artist (female)’ and ‘favourite country album’. The host for the evening was the timeless Jennifer Lopez, who opened the show with a choreographed dance mix of last year’s top hits.
Opening the medley with her very own ‘Dance Again’, JLo wowed the audience with her stellar moves. As expected, her voice was outstanding but her outfits were the cream of the crop. Spotted in multiple ensembles throughout the night, JLo shined in a silver gown, a techno gem bodysuit and a nude chiffon dress.

Rich in blacks, sparkles and patterns, many of the other best dressed showcased their fashionable side in neutral tones. Nora Fatehi, a Moroccan-Bollywood singer and actress, walked the purple carpet in a sequin animal print dress. Rebecca Black stole the show with her custom costume by Erik Charlotte, a white blend of bridal couture and nurse-wear. Here is a recap of 15 best dressed from the 2025 AMAs:

Wrapped in black, cat-prints and silver chains, the 2025 AMAs has set the standard for years to come. Hollywood’s best dressed ripped off the bandaid and effortlessly combined fashion and music with a shimmering event of heavy gowns and vintage suits. We hope to see the same amount of glamour next year at 52st AMAs purple carpet.
