A love letter to the women who have walked before her, Lamiez Holworthy-Morule paid tribute to the Marvels of Mzanzi with an all-white ensemble. Not only draped in silk and diamonds, but also in the memory and celebration of the brilliance of each woman featured on the dress.

Lamiez gave tribute to the admiral women who made and continue to have great impact and honor the women that shape our worlds. The designer stitched each prominent woman's faces onto the gown adorned with shimmering diamonds . The queens featured are the influential women in her life: her mother and her maternal and paternal grandmothers. Each representing a legacy that paved the way for her. The ensemble also celebrated iconic figures such as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Brenda Fassie, Lebo Mathosa and Miriam Makeba. Through intricate design and masterful craftsmanship, every stitch told a story—fashion as a love letter to powerful women.

Q'mane fashion house is responsible for the display of legacy. The significance of the dress being white has been made clear, as it represents the light the women have brought others through their journey of life. Complementing the ensemble were crystal diamond jewels sewn around the irons as a resurrection of their influence and worth. The minimal and elegant accessories by JoZEEst Accessories by Zee complemented the look with silver jewelry. This look called for a sophisticated pairing and the accessories chosen did just that, having added onion layers of elegance and posh.

Often while the extravagant garments take center stage throughout the weekend, glam often takes a backseat, but this was not the case with this dazzling overall look! Holworthy-Morule's hair and make-up was the cherry on top of an alluring cake.

With hair by Tony Masangu and make-up by Tshiamo Mogale, the pairing lead to the enhancement of Lamiez and her gown. Finger waves with the addition of crystal gems and radiant glam. The glam gave an elegant and soft feel to the silk statement garment.

Draped in an all-white silk and diamond ensemble, her interpretation of the “Marvels of Mzansi” theme was not only breathtaking but deeply intentional.
