A Love Letter to Women: Foschini and Rich Mnisi’s Capsule Collection

It’s not every day that two fashion powerhouses come together to make history, but Foschini and Rich Mnisi have done exactly that. Marking Foschini’s 100 years of dressing South African women and Rich Mnisi’s ten years of redefining African fashion, their collaboration; the Foschini x Rich Mnisi Capsule Collection, launched on 9 October 2025 across select stores in South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, and Zambia, as well as online.

Rich Mnisi’s decade-long journey in fashion has been marked by bold vision and fearless creativity. He’s collaborated with global giants like H&M and Adidas, won accolades including Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 and Best Fashion Designer at the 2025 South African Fashion Awards, and earned international recognition in publications like Vogue. His aesthetic is fluid and sculptural, often inspired by African heritage, storytelling, and the women who shape the world around him.

This capsule collection is no different. Mnisi draws inspiration from his grandmother and the elegance of Sophiatown, balancing pleats, prints, tailored blouses, and soft silhouettes that speak to both comfort and confidence. The collection features locally crafted cotton, satin, and linen-blend fabrics, offering printed T-shirts, pleated skirts in bold oranges and blues, maxi dresses, and linen-blend trousers and waistcoats. Each piece is a wearable celebration of memory, heritage, and strength; a nod to the women who inspire both the designer and the brand.

The campaign stars veteran actress and producer Connie Ferguson, Miss South Africa 2023 runner-up Bryoni Govender, and online personality Sarah Langa. “Collaborating with Rich Mnisi at this milestone moment creates a natural synergy,” says Robyn Wenlock, Foschini’s Managing Director for Ladies Fashion & Beauty. “Together, we honour women, connect heritage to the future, and make exceptional design accessible to all South Africans.”
