RHUDE Spring 2025 Menswear Collection
Lavish destinations set the tone for RHUDE’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show by Rhuigi Villaseñor, as guests were welcomed to the picturesque avenues of Lake Como, Italy. Known for its luxurious resorts, enchanting scenery, and Y-shaped waters, this iconic location bathed RHUDE’s SS25 collection in rays of sunshine, creating a breathtaking backdrop for a stunning display of fashion.
Hosted at the esteemed Villa d’Este’s five-star lakeside hotel, Rhuigi Villaseñor continued to evoke the American dream within an outdoor oasis far from home. A masterful blend of streetwear and tailoring guided the collection into new territory, with the 41-look range opening with a cross-bedazzled tee and shimmering embellished denim. The show’s unique location and vibrant energy perfectly complemented Villaseñor’s innovative designs, drawing inspiration from both the serene beauty of Lake Como and the gritty allure of LA street culture.
Reflecting on RHUDE’s recent seasons on the Paris Fashion Week menswear calendar, Villaseñor remarked, “It has been a great, great honor.” He added, “And now I think for our next frontier, what makes sense for us is to present in a way that allows us to showcase lifestyle.” This vision came to life against one of the world’s most exquisite (and exclusive) views: the vista over Lake Como from Villa d’Este.
This collection also marked the beginning of a new collaboration between RHUDE and Como 1907, the Serie A football team based on the lake. Co-branded pieces in the collection included rugby tops, zip-up sweatshirts, and jersey tees, making Como 1907 your new favourite team.
Drawing inspiration from the show’s location, the collection featured imagery of swans captured in studded embellishments and varsity jackets painted with prints of merchant sailboats, Lombardy flora, and stately dogs. These designs referenced and reconceptualised the sun-faded frescos that decorate many of Como’s historic villas.
As the show concluded, Villaseñor descended the grand stairs of Villa d’Este to take his final bow, celebrating with guests under the Italian moonlight. The picturesque setting of Lake Como provided the perfect backdrop for RHUDE’s SS25 collection, which elegantly balanced streetwear sensibilities with high-end sophistication.
