Inside SpinXperience's High-Energy Day of Cycling, Pilates and Community

On 23 May 2026, the sound of spinning wheels, amapiano beats and cheering riders echoed through Kyalami as SpinXperience finally came to life. After months of planning, moving parts and behind-the-scenes pressure, the event ultimately became a community-driven wellness and lifestyle experience that blended fitness, music and energy into one memorable day.

The day opened with Alecia Nel-Monteiro, one of the instructors proudly sponsored by Planet Fitness for the event. A highly experienced fitness, Pilates, breathwork and dance instructor, Alecia's warm-up session immediately set the tone for the experience ahead. Combining stretching, mobility work and light dance movement, her class focused on preparing participants both physically and mentally for the intensity of the day.

Active in the fitness industry since 1997, Alecia is passionate about helping people move with greater confidence, strength and ease through safe, effective and engaging classes designed for all fitness levels. Her expertise spans Pilates, stretch and mobility, breathwork, group fitness, body conditioning and dance, giving her a holistic approach to movement and wellbeing.

Throughout the session, Alecia brought a calm yet commanding presence that grounded the room while energising participants for the rides ahead. She later returned to lead a dedicated Pilates class, shifting the focus toward mindful movement, recovery and core strength. The session offered a welcome reset before attendees transitioned back into the day's high-energy cycling sessions.

Also joining the instructor lineup through Planet Fitness was Kele "Fit_Kelie", a fitness professional and indoor cycling instructor known for her infectious energy and motivating coaching style. With a National Diploma in Sports Coaching Sciences, she is qualified as a Wellness Coach, Personal Trainer, Certified Cycling Instructor and Group Exercise Fitness Coach.

Drawing on her background in coaching and holistic wellness, Fit_Kelie creates classes that are both physically challenging and accessible, helping participants of all fitness levels build confidence while pushing their limits. Over the years, she has established a reputation for delivering dynamic cycling and group fitness experiences centred around rhythm riding, endurance training, interval work, and functional strength.

Her sessions are distinguished by infectious energy, motivational coaching, and carefully curated playlists that transform a workout into an immersive experience. At the event, she brought her signature enthusiasm to the studio, inspiring attendees to dig deeper, move with intention, and embrace the power of fitness in a supportive environment.

The final stretch of SpinXperience became one of the standout moments of the event, with coaches Noxolo “CoachNox” Marks, Tebogo and Sibusiso collaborating across an extended session that brought different training styles and musical influences together.

CoachNox injected unmistakable South African flavour into the room with her Mzansi Core session. Backed by a soundtrack filled with gqom, amapiano and Venda pop, the ride leaned heavily into endurance and leg work, creating the kind of deep burn riders would definitely remember the next day. Her energy throughout the session was relentless and infectious.

Tebogo then shifted the mood with a pop-inspired session that incorporated resistance bands into the ride. Drawing from both his spinning background and real-world cycling experience across road and mountain biking, her class balanced performance-focused intensity with a playful edge that kept riders engaged throughout.

Closing out the day's instructor-led sessions was Sibusiso, another instructor sponsored by Planet Fitness, who delivered a Maphorisa-inspired wind-down ride that struck the perfect balance between recovery and intensity. While designed to help participants ease out of a demanding day of movement, the session still carried enough energy to keep the room engaged and moving until the very end.

Known for his community-focused coaching style and passion for hybrid performance training, Sibusiso brought a sense of connection and camaraderie to the studio. His carefully curated soundtrack and motivating presence created an uplifting atmosphere, allowing riders to reflect on the day's achievements while finishing on a high. It was a fitting conclusion to an event built around movement, wellness and community.

Beyond the bikes themselves, SpinXperience also leaned heavily into the wellness culture. Gloot had guests stopping by throughout the day to sample protein water and gummies, while Gym Bunny showcased apparel that matched the event’s activewear-heavy atmosphere.

Sunnyclub kept the energy flowing with its hard iced tea offerings, while Palevate Nutrition supported hydration throughout the event with water stations for guests and riders.

Food and refreshments added another layer to the experience, ensuring attendees remained fuelled throughout the day. Guests stayed hydrated with support from Palevate Nutrition, enjoyed freshly prepared burgers from The Niche Kitchen, and sipped on specialty matcha from Love Matcha between sessions. The mix of nourishing options and indulgent treats complemented the event's wellness-meets-lifestyle atmosphere, creating an experience that extended beyond the workout itself.

What also made SpinXperience memorable was the diversity of the crowd itself. Rather than catering to one type of fitness enthusiast, the event managed to create an environment that felt welcoming across different ages and experience levels.

The day ended on a celebratory note, with five attendees walking away as giveaway winners thanks to sponsors including Well I Am, Lamelle Research Laboratories and Revive Electrolytes. Still, no one left empty-handed, with every guest receiving a goodie bag featuring products from Laager, Revive, Gloot, Tetley, African Extracts and Nima Afrika.

By the end of the event, SpinXperience had become more than just another fitness activation. It turned into a reminder of how wellness events are evolving, moving beyond simple workouts into experiences built around music, recovery, community and lifestyle. And judging by the atmosphere at Kyalami, it is clear the appetite for that kind of experience is only growing.
