Henrik Vibskov FW25: An Exploration on How Nature and Humanity Collide

Henrik Vibskov’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection, ‘A Bit Overwhelmed by the Opaque Resonance’, captivated audiences at Copenhagen Fashion Week with its thought provoking exploration of humanity’s ongoing dialogue with nature. In a world increasingly marked by human intervention, Vibskov wanted to explore the delicate balance between our urge to control and reshape the natural world and nature’s quiet resilience to that force.
The collection reimagines humanity’s connection to landscapes, drawing heavily from the functional clothing of mountaineering and outerwear. Vibskov begins with classic silhouettes then starts twisting and reshaping them through traditional tailouring techniques to reflect the tension between human influence and organic evolution. Jackets with Tyrolean feather patches and layered dusters evoke the solitary shepherd, traveling across mountainous terrains, while intricate prints of mountain goats, fishermen and footprints are contrasting to the classic houndstooth and check patterns. A standout graphic footprint print symbolically represents humanity’s ever-lasting impact on nature. The earthy, natural colour palette, that is rooted in deep greens, browns and greys, is disrupted by pops of orange and sulfur yellow, being unnatural and bold it is a reminder of the relationship between the wilderness and human presence. The designs feel like they are practical yet they transcend into a higher form of artistic commentary.
Vibskov unveiled this collection within the immersive Apollonian Circles installation at Theatre Republique. The set was a collaboration with longtime friend and musician Hess Is More (Mikkel Hess). It was a depiction of human excessive nature and nature’s quiet reclamation.
Moss-covered silverware, crumbling statues and weathered rocks formed an interesting backdrop that illustrated the slow but inevitable return of the natural world. The presentation was brought to life by live performances from Hess Is More and Vibskov himself, blending music, scenography, and fashion into a seamless and dreamlike experience.
With “A Bit Overwhelmed by the Opaque Resonance”, Henrik Vibskov continues to redefine the boundaries of fashion and art by creating a collection that is as thought-provoking as it is visually stimulating. For FW25, Vibskov reminds us that in the tension between humanity and nature, art and fashion can be a tool to reflect the complicated dynamic. This can hlep in inspiring us to rethink our place in the world.
