Lindsay Lohan Went Couture For ‘Freakier Friday’ Press Tour

Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray made a cast return earlier this August with their latest film, Freakier Friday. A sequel to the 2003 coming of age Freaky Friday, this film revival explores a similar plot to the original – mother-daughter drama, high school lovers and cosmic body swapping. Lindsay and Jamie graced many morning and afternoon talk shows, promoting the upcoming release. While the Internet was overjoyed to have this iconic pairing back, it was Lindsay Lohan’s Balmain dress that had everyone geeking.

Between her lavender, bedazzled metal dress and cherry blossom mini, Lindsay Lohan embraced fashion and marketing in a new and Gen-Z sort of way. Her looks for the press tour were a blast from the past, revisiting Y2K styles and silhouettes from across her career. Her little guitar shoulder-bag and fortune cookie clutch was a stylish tribute to the film’s aesthetic.

Her Ludovic de Saint Sernin dress from the London premiere took inspiration from a look Lindsay wore in the first film. Originally designed by Mandalay, de Saint Sernin’s version of the lavender dress was mesh and embellished with Swarovski crystals on the straps, curving around the bust and down the skirt in stylized golden flowers.

Her checkered, butter yellow look from Balmain was a clear nod to her time as Annie James in the 1998 cult classic, The Parent Trap. Lindsay unironically paired it with a black Birkin 25 and a matching yellow headband. She later changed into a mini qipao-inspired dress from Roberto Cavalli, a bird print with a mandarin collar and a camouflaging corset. This was undoubtedly a homage to ‘Hallie Parker’ – another character of Lindsay’s.

A few days later, Lindsay shined in a pre-Fall 2025 Oscar De La Renta tweed dress, cascading with branches and large cherry blossoms. With a touch of pink eye shadow and a splurge of blush, her jewellery choice could not have been more chic in diamond strands.

And finally, the last pick from the Freakier Friday press tour was a dazzling rosy, pink gown. Glistening in shiny crystals, Lohan’s flowy Miu Miu dress looked like it was pulled straight out of a Disney princess movie. Dripping in Loraine Schwartz, the beading flowed vertically along the pleating. Lindsay accessorized with a statement set and a bejewelled microphone, commemorating her role as a rockstar in Freakier Friday.

From her electric blue Stella McCartney dress to the playful pink checkered Giambattista Valli set, and the Jacquemus white midi with fringed tulle, Lindsay Lohan’s Freakier Friday press looks were nothing short of a couture showcase. Stylist Andrew Mukamal clearly understood the brief, curating a wardrobe that made every entrance feel like a statement. When it comes to a lavish comeback, nothing speaks louder than a press-ready wardrobe that hits every note of glamour.
