The Remarkable Woman Marks 10 Years With A New Vision For Women’s Legacy
For ten years, The Remarkable Woman has created a platform for celebrating women of influence, sharing their stories and recognising their contributions across business, entrepreneurship, media, the creative industries and wider society. Now, as it reaches its 10th anniversary, the platform is looking beyond the celebration itself.
The Remarkable Woman will mark the milestone with its 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at The Garden Venue in Johannesburg. Held under the theme “The Legacy We Inherit, The Future We Create”, the event will also introduce The Legacy Circle, a new network intended to connect women who have previously been honoured by the platform.
Founded by award-winning public relations practitioner Loraine MaKhumalo Sibanda, The Remarkable Woman has evolved over the past decade into a platform focused on recognising women whose work has made an impact in their respective fields. The launch of The Legacy Circle marks a shift towards creating something that continues beyond the annual gala.
The Legacy Circle has been established as an ongoing community centred on mentorship, collaboration, leadership and collective impact. Rather than recognition ending with an individual gala or honour, the network is designed to keep previous honourees connected and create opportunities for relationships to develop over time.
Over the past decade, The Remarkable Woman has welcomed a broad range of accomplished women and public figures from across Southern Africa. Previous editions have featured personalities including singer Amanda Black, actors Phelo Bhala and Stevel Marc, media personality Weza Solange, businesswoman Thandy Matlaila, Advocate Ntombizodwa Sibanda, life coach Yvette Aloe and agripreneur Pamela Msipa.
Their participation reflects the range of voices that have contributed to the platform's journey and its focus on excellence, leadership and social impact. For Sibanda, reaching the 10-year milestone is therefore as much about the future as it is about the past.

The 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner will bring together leaders from business, entrepreneurship, media, civil society and the creative industries for an evening of celebration, networking and storytelling.
It will also mark the first formal induction of the 2026 Remarkable Woman honourees into The Legacy Circle, giving the new initiative its first cohort as the organisation enters its second decade.
The move reflects a broader focus on creating connections between women at different stages of their leadership and professional journeys. Through mentorship and collaboration, The Remarkable Woman aims to preserve the stories of women who have already made their mark while creating opportunities for those coming through behind them.
After ten years of celebrating individual journeys, the next chapter for The Remarkable Woman is therefore focused on what can happen when those journeys remain connected. The Legacy Circle places that idea at the centre of its second decade, with the ambition of turning recognition into an ongoing community built around shared knowledge, relationships and impact.
