A new era of South African pageantry begins as House of Nala, the home of African luxury, takes centre stage as the official couture house for Miss South Africa 2025. This partnership marks a pivotal moment in redefining what fashion means for pageantry, transforming it from a visual accessory into a living, breathing expression of confidence, culture and identity.

More than a retail destination, House of Nala is a movement, a space that champions pan-African excellence and celebrates the power of design to tell stories of heritage and innovation. As part of Africa Fashion International (AFI), it serves as a showcase of the continent’s finest garments, giving fashion lovers direct access to African luxury and the opportunity to engage with the designers shaping its future.

Within its walls, craftsmanship meets contemporary design. Each creation represents the unique vision of a designer rewriting the global fashion narrative from an African perspective. Whether through meticulous tailoring, bold silhouettes or expressive prints, House of Nala invites its audience to experience fashion that is deeply rooted in identity yet unafraid to push creative boundaries.

This year’s Miss South Africa competition ushers in a new era defined by courage, purpose and transformation. Beyond beauty, it is a platform of progress — one that celebrates women who embody intellect, authenticity and cultural pride. Through its collaboration with House of Nala, Miss South Africa 2025 presents a renewed vision of what it means to lead with confidence. Fashion becomes the language through which this story is told.

The Designers Behind the Looks

For the grand finale, House of Nala will unveil The NALA Africa Collective, a carefully curated showcase of modern African luxury designed exclusively for the Miss South Africa stage.

Led by renowned designer David Tlale, whose work embodies power, precision and storytelling, the collective brings together some of the continent’s most dynamic voices in fashion. From Scalo’s sculpted femininity and Malondié's celebration of modern African womanhood, to House of Fabrosanz’s resort-inspired glamour and Masango’s bold, expressive designs, each look is a reflection of African artistry at its finest.

Completing the collective are Nala Privé, House of Nala’s in-house label known for refined tailoring and quiet sophistication, and Tsotetsi KL, whose innovative approach to form bridges mentorship and mastery. Together, they redefine what it means to wear African couture on a global stage.

With nearly two decades of experience in elevating African design, AFI and its retail platform, House of Nala, are redefining the relationship between fashion and pageantry. The partnership signals a future where couture is not simply worn, but lived, where every garment carries with it a sense of purpose, place and pride.

The designs that illuminate the Miss South Africa 2025 stage will also live beyond it. A selection of limited-edition pieces from the NALA Africa Collective will be made available for purchase at House of Nala, offering admirers the chance to own a piece of history — timeless, crafted and collectable.

As Miss South Africa 2025 steps into the spotlight, she does so wrapped in the artistry of the continent’s finest designers, embodying the grace, strength and brilliance of a modern African woman. This is more than fashion; it is heritage in motion.
